Your Landscape Deserves a Foundation Grown Right
For nearly four decades, John Michael's Wholesale Nursery has been the Lowcountry's trusted source for specimen-quality trees, shrubs, and plants — grown with care on our own grounds and priced to serve both homeowners and professional landscapers.
Our Story
Grown Here.
Rooted in Community.
John Michael's Wholesale Nursery began as a small family operation with a simple conviction: that every plant leaving our grounds should be healthy, properly acclimated, and suited to the unique conditions of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
Today, we continue that tradition. Our nursery sits on Pennyroyal Road in Georgetown, where we cultivate a broad selection of deciduous and evergreen trees, flowering and foundation shrubs, perennials, and seasonal color — all adapted to our coastal climate and grown with the patience that quality demands.
Whether you're a homeowner planting your first magnolia or a landscape contractor outfitting a commercial project, we treat every visit with the same personal attention. We know our inventory, we know our soil, and we're happy to help you choose what will thrive in your specific space.

Why Gardeners &
Contractors Choose Us
There are plenty of places to buy plants. Here's what makes our nursery the choice for people who expect more.
Grown for This Region
Every plant in our nursery is selected and hardened for the humidity, soil, and climate of the South Carolina Lowcountry. We don't ship in stock from three zones away — our inventory is adapted where it grows.
Wholesale Prices, Personal Service
Landscapers and property managers receive competitive wholesale pricing without losing the one-on-one guidance that comes with a family-run operation. You'll always know who you're dealing with.
Quality You Can Inspect
Walk our rows. Examine root balls, foliage, and form before you buy. We stand behind every plant we sell, and we'd rather you see it in person than hear about it secondhand.
Knowledge That Comes from Grounds
Decades of growing in the same soil give us an intuitive sense for what performs well here — and we're ready to share that with you, whether you're planning a single bed or a full property landscape.
